About

Dr. Gonzalez is originally from Grecia, a little town in Costa Rica. He obtained his DDS at the University of Costa Rica in 1997 with emphasis in restorative dentistry and orthodontics. Upon receiving his degree, he opened his own private practice while also serving as a clinical instructor at the University of Costa Rica. In 2002 he was accepted into the graduate prosthodontics program at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas Texas and he later took part in an implant fellowship program at Oral Maxillofacial Surgery within the same institution in 2005-2007. He obtained faculty appointment as the Clinical Director for the Center of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Clinic and Assistant Professor. His curriculum vitae wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his dear mentors Dr. Ronald Woody, Dr. Stephen Parel, Dr. Bob Schow and Dr. Triplett among many others. As he says “It is not common to have such iconic mentors in ones professional career”.

In 2018 he opened his own private practice in Fort Worth, Texas while maintaining his teaching duties with the Graduate Prosthodontics Program as Adjuvant Professor.  Dr. Gonzalez provides his patients with quality care and compassion with a multidisciplinary approach to prosthodontic care. His professional interests include dental implants, maxillofacial prosthodontics, digital technology and designing and producing his own prosthetics for his patients.  Dr. Gonzalez is the author of several scientific articles and clinical chapter books. He also lectures both nationally and internationally on different topics in prosthodontics and implant surgery.

As hobbies, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys music, playing guitar, traveling, hiking and photography among many others.
